going to the movies by yourself...
I ALWAYS go to the movies alone. I love it. I can laugh to myself and I don’t have to worry about boring any one else with my cinematic interests. Tonight my friends and I are going to see Tropic Thunder, but I am seriously thinking about ditching them so I can a. go earlier and b. not go up to Lincoln Center! That is seriously fucking far and they want to go to the 6:20 which means I won’t be able to hit the gym first. Going to the movies alone is by far my favorite activity. The one time I really enjoyed going to see a movie with a friend was actually- Heather. We were bored so we went to see the Lakehouse- WORST. MOVIE. EVER. But we had so much fun being assholes and making fun of it the whole way through, it didn’t seem like such a waste of money.Discuss.
- totally awesome and confidently badass?
- or, sad and pathetic.
You should feel comfortable doing anything by yourself. Heck, sometimes I prefer it. Always needing someone to do things like go to the movies is a mark of insecurity.
If you can’t enjoy your own company, why would anyone else?
